Putting this in place

This is the editing that I have began to put in place none of this footage will probably be used once I've put more rehearsals in place and obtained better footage with a better background area as the background I've used here doesn't look good at all and looks really unprofessional.

Working on Editing

Even though that this is mainly just rehearsal footage I've started editing the footage and putting things in place and working out exactly where everything is going until I'm able to work out exactly when I am able to record again, book the hall or the black box studio and also to see if the green screen is available.

First Rehearsal

I've just finished my first rehearsal and it went extremely well and we got the majority of the choreography done at first I thought I was being really ambitious in terms of pushing myself and them to get the footage done tomorrow but due to how well the rehearsal went I will defiantly be able to obtain some really good footage tomorrow.

Plans for tomorrow

My plans for tomorrow are that I need to borrow a camera and check if the hall stage is free as the black box studio isn't available and is barely ever free so there are only specific times that I can actually record up there and not everybody is free at that time. I also need to borrow a tripod so I can get some really got shots of the entire group dancing.

Working on the Digipak front cover

This is my front cover so far, I've used the girls name in bold and in a silver colour font because I used a gradient background it blends in very well and looks like it's coming out of the background. I've decided to call the album 7/11 also as when I look at some of my style models I'm looking at tend to take a song off their album and name their album that so that's what I've decided to do. I've also put the name of media production group in the corner as well to represent that I'm keeping the synergy throughout and on my magazine advertisement I will continue to add it in along with a logo when I actually make one. This is still not done there is still a lot I need to do on it I still need to take an image for the front cover I've been looking at a particular picture that I want to recreate which is the image below.

This is my image that I would like to recreate I like how up close the image is and it uses direct mode of address and it really grabs the target audiences eye. I also like how different parts of her face have been fragmented in to something different and certain sections have been edited in different effects. When I'm taking my images of my 'artist' I will mainly use this as my style model in terms of how it's been taken and the way it's been edited.




I still need to add a logo as well as I mentioned earlier on in the post because when we started again the logo we made took the name of someone else in our group so I have
to make a whole new logo now.

Survey Results

I done my survey and got back the results. 7/11 got the most results as 75% of the people voted this song. I'm quite glad that this was the song that was chosen as it is really upbeat and fast paced and it's so easy to work with in terms of choreography as well, my first rehearsal for the choreography is later on today for two hours and I would like to start recording some of the dance tomorrow.

Survey

As I am still undecided as to what song I am going to use I have decided that I am going to carry out a survey of people around my age group to see what they would prefer I am carrying out the survey later on today and I should have the results for tomorrow so for today I'm going to work on my digipak.

Costuming

As my video involves 5 girls I have asked each of them to wear black leggings a black top and a checkered shirt tied around their waste and they can wear either converse or boots, I have chosen this costuming because it sticks out to my target audience which is people around my age group and thats also the reason I decided to use 5 girls around my age group as well. By me having younger people in my video it will attract a younger age group.

Ideas For the Video

I have decided that I am going to use some of the A level dancer group to choreograph a number to one of the songs, I think I'm using the 7/11 song as that is the most upbeat and high energy out of the three. I'm going to start obtaining footage next week as rehearsals are needed first to start with choreography.

Looking into different artists

I have looked into a different range of artists I listen to and I have decided that I'm going to use one of Beyoncé's songs as her songs are quite upbeat and fast paced. The videos above are probably the final three I'm going to use for my final piece.

Another Change of Plan

Due to a large amount of group absences we have all decided that it would be best if we all decided to just work individually on our own pieces instead so now we are all back to square one. At this moment in time I'm not quite sure as to what I'm actually doing this moment in time I'm going to research in to some of the artists that I like and see where that leads me.
